VENUE: Canturbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club
DATE: Saturday 4th October 2008
MENU: buffet and drinks package!!
FEEDBACK NEEDED: Food wise there are a few packages the most expensive being seafood and drinks approx $70 per head . Do you want SEAFOOD? preferences please...
The venue is one of the biggest clubs in Australia and is only 20 mins or so to city and 30 mins or so from Liverpool (M5) . So people also know my mother is the Manager . Who will be in charge of making sure we have top quality food and service???
I am told that the next day, Sunday is Grand Final Day for football... sorry I dont follow it but if there are any problems with this date please let me know as we want this to be a great night out.
Everybody get out your junior school photos..you know the really dorky ones!!! start circulating the embarassing pics, stories etc and also lets try to track down a few more people.
I know Facebook is great but in order to make my life simpler if I can have normal email addresses too it will make things easier for mass emails.
If you have details for anyone now is the time to send them back to me as I will organise official invites etc soon...

Hey ex Hurlstonians!
Remember the time not so long ago that we all really felt school was never going to end?? Well isnt it funny we are getting together after all these years to celebrate it!!!
Just a quick note to get the momentum going the big reunion isnt so far away now!
The venue.. Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL is a huge venue ,we will be using their private function area for our event its called The Segenhoe Room and has its own entrance from the street and also parking area. The "room" itself will be fully decked out with the school colours , a dance floor, thanks to Lorna Clarkson and Stephen Parker there will be ghastly (lol) 80s music! The "room" also has private bar facilities at which you will all be able to have beer wines and softdrinks/juices/water without having to pull out your wallet all night long as this was something that occurred at the centenary dinner, so it is all inc with our dinner package.
Speaking of dinner... come hungry cos it will all be there in plenty of supply . The night will start with platters of antipasta and entrees including prawns and oysters for those who wish to indulge in them... there will also be a large variety of choices for your meals with everything from roast meat and veges,stirfry meals , a large selection of side dishes including at least 4 types of salads , bread baskets and of course fruit platters , deserts and cheese platters to nibble on at the other end of the night! This is just off the top of my head, so the beuty of this is there will be no need to end a conversation with someone cos your dinner just arrived! You can eat drink and be merry at your own convenience. If you are vegetarian or have a dietary requirement your not sure will be met..speak up asap and the club has said they will prepare something special for you!
Also on the night I have asked Anne McLeod to bring along some HAHS goodies as they were quite popular at the centenary, there were things to purchase including keyrings books ties and jerseys.
David Cook is also getting together some take home memorabilia for us all.
Hopefully this fills everyone in a bit more and remember to spread the word cos maybe you know details for someone and I havent got them yet!
Also as we need the 50 people minimum the earlier you can send payment ($80pp) or deposit ($30pp) the better. Remember partners are welcome and seating is not assigned! So mingling is allowed!!! No rulers at this disco !!!
