Class of 97 - 10 Year Reunion 30/9/07
We will be having a ten year reunion for those who finished in 1997 (or would have) on the Labor Day weekend Saturday 30/9/07.
It will likely be held in Sydney but we are still looking for a venue. Any suggestions - in Sydney or out & any preferences would be appreciated. Also some help as those organising at the moment aren't in Sydney (in fact - Boggabri, Tumbarumba, Canbera & Melbourne).
Should be a great night particularly if we get a good roll up & having it on the long weekend means those travelling can make a trip out of it.
Please email me at [** contact details removed - Admin **] so that I have current adresses for as many people as possible for invites and can get an idea of numbers. Obviously all are welcome, the more the merrier, including partners.
Hope everyone is well and looking forward to catching up. Please spread the word & please reply with suggestions.

i can liase on the ground in sydney if you need someone to visit venues
i have a fairly liberal work schedule since most of my clients are international emailed to your address listed there

UPDATE ON REUNION 10YR 1997
Hi all,
We have a venue - The East Village Pub - Manhattan roof Bar 7pm on Saturday the 29th of September.
Looking at roughly $40 a ticket covering venue & nibblies and any extra from this going on the bar tab. This way we are covered for minimum spend and the venue costs (I've covered this for now).
More information soon regarding buying tickets & I'll need someone to put there hand up to decorate.

Hello all,
It's been a little while since I wrote - the reunion has not stalled but I have busy moving to a new job - all my new contact details are at the bottom of this very long email. Sorry.
The venue is booked at the East Village - Manhattan Roof Bar for the Saturday of the long weekend September the 29th. The deposit has been paid and that is where we are at.
Before formal invitations go out I need to get an idea of what people want for our reunion. So if you could answer back to the questions below it would be appreciated - even if you don't really care write back and say that.
I also need some volunteers - I would like some people to put their hand up for the following -
Decorations - Pretty simple with an allowance out of the ticket price - preferably a Sydney Sider so they can take a look at the venue & see what we need - i.e. tables etc.
Music - There is a system in the area - I can check wether it is compatible with an IPod or such. Probably just a mix of music pub rock/90's/new stuff. If a few people get involved with this it should be easy enough to pool resources - possibly look at burning a series of CD's so there is no chance of damage.
Themes/video etc. If anyone is interested in putting together something along these lines please get back to me
MC - If someone could please volunteer to be MC that would be great - not to onerous just to make announcements and keep things moving.
FEEDBACK ON TICKET PRICING & FOOD
The situation is that there was $500 deposit required on the venue cost as well as a minimum spend (bar & food) of $1500. I have paid the deposit and am planning having the ticket prices set at $40 each. These will all need to be pre-paid.
This amount will cover the food - email me for menu choices. As well as going towards the Venue cost of $500. Once we exceed the numbers required for this payment (25 people or so depending on the menu) any extra money would be put on a bar tab for drinks - basically with some drink tickets supplied on entry.
I have decided to set it up this way as it ensures that we reach the minimum spend fairly easily - money of which I am responsible for if we didn't and frankly folks I'm not that keen on being a couple of grand out of pocket.
Depending on your feedback I will put account details on the invite into which the money can be directly deposited via bank or internet. Of course full accountability will be possible such as bank statements on the account etc.
Please let me know if you agree with this system and the pricing.
