I played in the 1979 final at the SCG No 2, the second year in succession that HAHS managed to win the shield and only school to have accomplished the feat at that time. What a memory, I was in year 10, scored about a dozen runs and remember Trent hancock won the match for us with a score of 50 odd. I can still remember the atmosphere of the day with many old boys and ex teachers being present including the former Principal Reg Clarke. An incredible thing to have been part of and I remember being the captain of the 1981 side who were beaten in the Q/F. Be great to hear from anyone from that time or if anyone has photos. I remember ABC covered the 1979 final which I recall watching a couple of times with our Captain Peter (Jamo) Jamison.
