Margaret Tierney (a former Miss Australia; sister to the Tierneys in Human Nature)

Is that a good start?

Apparently John Kerin AM attended Hurlstone. I didn't know that, but my mother assures me it is so. John was the Federal Minister for Agriculture, and Treasurer for a short while (after Paul Keating resigned) before retiring from politics in 1993.

let's not forget Alan Morris, class of '57, who was the long serving Federal member for Newcastle until a few years ago. OK! I know he was a polititian, but, as my mother said, "there's a little good in everyone!"

Let's not forget John Edmondson VC, extract from wikepedia:
John Hurst Edmondson (8 October 191414 April 1941) was an Australian recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

John Hurst Edmondson was born at Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. His parents moved to Liverpool, New South Wales where he attended Hurlstone Agricultural High School and later became a farm worker.

I would also like to nominate my sister, Jennifer Kremmer, winner of the 1998 Vogel Award for Literature. This annual prize is awarded for an original unpublished manuscript of fiction or Australian history or biography.
Jenny has since written a number of short stories and manuscripts. She's awesome.

One person that leaps out from my year[class of 76], is Graham Bailey.Quietly spoken but always a leader and now considered to be among the worlds leading veterinary forensic pathologists. He excelled in everything he did at HAHS and continued that in his career. I believe he is now based at Orange NSW
