Last years review once again highlights the need for more[not less] focus on agriculture taught in schools across NSW. It also recommends a study into the possibility of an Ag.High in Dubbo, with a residential capacity. This would further deplete the potential student numbers, as HAHS boarders, from the western and northern division.
Perhaps the group who were pro-sell at the last review of Hurlestone, are regrouping under another banner? If we lose significant boarder numbers and Agriculture is not a mandatory subject at Hurlestone, then a subsequent review of our significance in the departmentmental infrastructure may not have as friendly an outcome as before. Think about this everyone and give your support to our school and any school that teaches agriculture
