The Hurlstone Foundation
The Hurlstone Foundation has been established to provide a vital link between the past students and staff with HAHS and to fulfill a number of objectives to support activities at the school. These objectives are very broad and range from the provision of scholarships and bursaries, assisting with building projects to support for educational and cultural activities.
Objectives of the Foundation
The Constitution of The Hurlstone Foundation lists a number of objectives. Please find below a summary of the objectives that relate to the active role of the Foundation that will be of interest to past students, staff and friends of Hurlstone.

to establish and grant bursaries, exhibitions, scholarships, prizes and gratuities for students and past students of Hurlstone and to make payments towards the expenses of the teaching staff and the students of Hurlstone by way of grants for travelling, research, books, materials, accommodation, equipment or otherwise;

to provide financial assistance and travelling grants to the teaching and other staff of Hurlstone, students of Hurlstone or scholars for educational research projects, the development of new teaching methods or for other purposes calculated to benefit Hurlstone or further its interests;

to print, publish, acquire or dispose of books, magazines, journals and other literary works, works of art, educational plant and equipment, farming plant and equipment, school clothes, uniforms and other school and educational requisites and materials of every description relating to or for the purposes of Hurlstone or of education at Hurlstone generally;

to provide for the delivery and holding of lectures, concerts, exhibitions, sports, public meetings, classes, conferences and other related activities calculated directly or indirectly to advance, encourage and promote the cause of education in Hurlstone;
- a trust or trusts established for the advancement of education at Hurlstone, and
- a public fund or funds established or maintained exclusively for the acquisition, construction or maintenance of buildings to be used or used by Hurlstone for public education purposes;
- to promote public education in the State.
